Headbands make a nice (and cheaper) alternative for the races this spring if you are tired of the typical fascinators and hats that are out there at the moment.
I think they can look quite stylish and understated as racewear, particularly if you don’t feel like going all-out for a day at the races, Carmen Miranda-style. Incidentally, spring racing is now just weeks away.
